(Distinctions are subtleties of language that, when gotten, cause a shift in a belief, behavior, value or attitude.)

Life is full of regrets. At least, it is if you look for things to regret, like roads not taken, relationships that did not work out, sights not seen. Regret energy is expensive and adds nothing to your life.

What can you do about it? Can you just stop regretting?

Try making changes so that what you regret will not recur. Usually a major change is not required, simply a refinement. Do this by raising your standards, setting protective boundaries, seeing clearly what motivates you, or adding resources that make your journey easier.

By refining the areas of your life where regrets have occurred you lessen the chance of having regrets in the future.
