(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)

After several come-from-behind wins during a college sports championship series the coach said to his players, “How you perceive yourself has more to do in what you become than your skill or talent.” What a great message for those kids.

Do you believe that how you perceive yourself has a major effect on how things come out for you? Or is your life primarily a by-product of circumstances? Either view is fine, neither good nor bad. Just be clear on what you believe because your belief will determine how you respond or react to situations.

A couple of questions for you to ponder: Who helped you form your perceptions of yourself? What have you done to change or upgrade your self-perceptions?

It’s not easy to look at yourself, but it is worth it.
