Coaching Point: Without being able to read the label you don’t know where you are or what to do next. You’re just in the jar. Stuck. Probably oblivious about the jar.
People simply can’t see themselves clearly and accurately. (It’s been noted that no form of life can understand itself, only the forms lower than it. hummm…)
This quote is a variation of “Don’t ask a fish to describe water.” Sidestepping the fact that fish don’t speak Human, the point is that it is very difficult to see what you are immersed in, especially if you’ve always been in it. Like a fish in water.

[By the way, the truth of this Quote is why Coaches have Coaches. Even though a Coach’s job, training, and desire is to assist their clients to see themselves more clearly, a Coach still can’t see their own stuff clearly. Thus a Coach has a Coach.]
