(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)
Ever notice that when something goes awry in your life, other things also get messy? It is like dominoes that are stacked just right — each falling domino knocks the next one over. Just as you start to recover from one disaster another shows up.
A prime cause of the domino effect is a lack of reserves. To illustrate, imagine a line of cars traveling on a freeway. If the front car suddenly brakes, the gaps between the following cars start to shorten as each driver reacts to the situation. Metal is bent when the initial gaps between the cars is too little for the conditions of speed, pavement slickness, individual driver reaction times, etc. To leave a wider gap between you and the car in front of you is a form of reserve.
Look at all of the areas in your life and check your reserve levels. When stuff happens (as it probably will) and you have sufficient reserves, you will be able to respond to conditions, handle the current situation and avoid having it spread into other areas.
