S:0378 Distinction: Belief vs. Bravado

(Distinctions are subtleties of language that, when gotten, cause a shift in a belief, behavior, value or attitude.)

A lot of people power their way through life using bravado.

But bravado is expensive —
1) you have to continually replenish your supply,
2) you are on your own, and
3) ultimately, others see through your facade.

You use bravado when you don t really believe in the possibility of having a desired outcome occur.

What do you require to develop belief –

Clarity?
(you know exactly what you want)

A plan?
(how to get what you want)

Support structures?
(surround yourself with help)

Reserves?
(so there is no negative consequence if it doesn’t work out)

When you put your attention and actions on developing belief you don t need bravado.
