S:0402 Principle: An Organization s Quality is Always Driven By Success

In most organizations, the vast majority of problems are caused by faulty systems or processes, not by faulty people. To create a successful, smooth-running organization you must separate the people from the processes.

Processes are comprised of a series of actions designed to create a result. All work is a process, although many managers don t think of it that way.

Don’t add people in order to fix the problem. Instead, fix the process.
