(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)
John Barnes says, “You’re winning the game you’re playing.”
When you first hear this you may think to yourself, “No I’m not. If I were winning, I’d be having better things happen in my life.”
Reread the quote. It doesn’t say you like the game you’re playing. It doesn’t say you even understand that you are playing a game. It only says that you are causing the outcomes you are getting. (Unless you’re a victim; there are different principles which cover victim-hood.)
Notice the outcomes you’re getting. They are the wins from the game you’re playing. No more, no less. If you want different outcomes, play a different game.
Once you understand that you always win the game you’re playing, you’ll find it easier to change your game.
