Coaching Point: How many people do you know who are almost totally focused on themselves? Are they fun to be around? To know what you want, and go for it is, of course, useful, but if you exclude others due to your self pre-occupation, you slow down your progress. Most people want to feel free to fully express their life. The traditional message is “don’t be egotistical, selfish, or self-centered.” A more powerful life model is to give yourself a gift, the gift of real freedom, by including others in your journey. Check how you’re doing by counting the number of people you actively support and who support you. When you let go of your self pre-occupation, you will be free.
