(Distinctions are subtleties of language that, when gotten, cause a shift in a belief, behavior, value or attitude.)
Can you hear the truth without feeling judged? Most have a tough time with this.
We are given feedback, from early in our childhood, through our developing years, and on into adulthood. Sometimes (frequently? nearly always?) the feedback comes with judging. Right/wrong. Good/bad. Moral/evil.
Feedback is useful. It’s how we learn to play the game of life. The Rules. It’s how we learn what works and what doesn’t. Seek feedback. Look at your truth. You’ll learn and grow rapidly when you have a smooth, refined system of feedback.
It’s the judging that causes the sticky bits.
You will feel judged until …. you don’t. For some, the wake up call is sudden and dramatic. For others, it’s more gradual. Get help. Develop your personal foundation. Learn what your core values are. Discover what your life is about. When you have clarity and self-awareness, it will be easy for you to ignore being judged.
Then you will be free to learn all your truth.
