(Distinctions are subtleties of language that, when gotten, cause a shift in a belief, behavior, value or attitude.)
Since the universe rewards action, sticking to a plan or course of action will typically produce more results for you than an on-again-off-again approach. But there are limits.
When you are determined to have an outcome you are clear on what you want, have made up your mind, and probably have some sort of map to guide you. A determined person radiates a confident energy which attracts others to their journey.
A person who is simply stubborn acts differently. Beyond being determined a stubborn person is often short-sighted; they have a lack of awareness. In fact, they may not be able to emotionally afford to see the truth. This can lead to an obsessive approach which lacks flexibility. A stubborn person will continue playing the game long after the lights have been turned out and the fans have gone home.
Determination is attractive. Stubbornness is not.
