S:0563 Principle: Wisdom Passed On

(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)

Sometimes it s easy to feel that you re waiting for someone to show you the secret to life, the answer to your unasked question, the rules of the game. Sometimes, even as an adult, you can feel like you re flopping around in your parents shoes, playing “grown-up.”

So when do you get to feel like the adult?

It s when you pass on some of the wisdom you ve learned.

You ve been around a while. You ve had some bumps and scrapes. You ve accumulated some scar tissue. Those experiences have taught you things. Most people just brush their experiences off, ignore what they ve learned, and continue to search for the answer, the payoff.

The payoff starts when you learn from your experiences — that is to say, you get wiser — and you pass on that wisdom to someone who is open for it.

The added benefit for you is that in sharing your wisdom you will grow even more. You learn who to share it with, how and when to share it, and — this is the amazing part — by saying it you learn more about it!
