In the 1995 movie, Apollo 13, Tom Hanks character, astronaut Jim Lovell, reacts to the U. S. landing on the moon by saying to his wife, “From now on, we live in a world where man has walked on the Moon. It s not a miracle. We just decided to go.”

What a powerful statement.
