“What am I feeling, right now?”
Coaching Point: Ask this question several times per day. Just stop, ask the question, notice the response. Don’t try to do anything about what you’re feeling. Don’t judge what you’re feeling. Don’t even stay in the question for more than a moment. Ask the question, note your response, and move on with your day. Within two weeks of asking this question 3, 4, or more times per day, you will learn something very useful.
(Notice that the question is “what” not “how” am I feeling. “How” will cause you to judge the response. “What” leaves you free to simply notice the response. The learning comes from noticing, not from judging.)
