(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)

Events happen all day, every day. They are external.

What you experience is internal. For instance, hearing the word “strawberry” is not the same as tasting a strawberry.

What you experience is a function of — among other factors — your filters, your beliefs, your past experiences, your desires, your needs, and your relationships. These things alter and shade how you interpret events. In other words, they determine what you experience.

Sometimes we’re quick to label an event and move on. Pausing to have an experience is richer. Events come and go, but with an experience you are in the present.
