“It’s better to live your life imperfectly, than to live someone else’s with perfection.”

Bhagavad Gita

Coaching Point: This is perhaps a rough translation from the original Sanskrit, but the idea is sound. So many people spend their life trying to live according to some model they’ve seen or been taught. And it’s not their life! They attempt to live the life expected of them by their “mommy”/peer group/spouse/advertising. In order to live your life you must know who and what you really are. That discovery takes desire, intention, and action. Few are willing to invest what it takes to discover their authentic Self and, by default, choose to live an inauthentic life. Even though they may do it perfectly, it will never be as satisfying, easy, and effective as living their own. What is one fear you have which holds you back from knowing, and expressing, who and what you really are?
