(Distinctions are subtleties of language that, when gotten, cause a shift in a belief, behavior, value or attitude.)
We all know the dangers of a mine field — frozen behavior, dismemberment, maybe even death. Mine fields are ugly, scary things.
Our minds can also have scary stuff buried. Nearly everyone has memories which contain powerfully negative emotions. Those memories — really it’s the emotions — can be like mines in our mind, ready to blow if we get too close. What to do?
Just as you would get help to systematically go through a mine field and remove each mine one by one, so, too, will you benefit by doing the same with your mind. The reason most people won’t do this is because they fear “stepping” on one and being overwhelmed by the energy of the stored emotion. Today there are many tools, processes, and trained professionals to help you discover and resolve your mental mines with ease and without trauma.
To handle your issues once and for all is like having a cleared former mine field become an attractive park or garden.
