(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)

The past is what you make of it. Yes, it’s what happened. Or it didn’t. Either way, it’s your past.

You may love it, or regret it, or be ashamed of it, or angry about it, or ecstatic about it. The truth of your past doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is what you make of your past now.

Does your past hold you back? Or build you up? Have you learned from it and used it to grow? Or do you live in what- might-have-been?

The past is powerful, no question about it, but it is the past. Now and what’s coming are much more important.

Looking hard into distant memories is useful. Looking clearly at what is right now, even more so.

Coaching Point: What are you making of your past? What are you making of your future?
