(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)

Intuition is real. It’s as real as thinking, but too often people believe that if they can’t think through something and come to a logical, reasoned conclusion, then they don’t have enough information, or somehow they are not thinking well enough.

Information is nice, and so is thinking, but sometimes answers come to you as fully formed knowings. There is no thinking and understanding.

Even Albert Einstein, arguably the finest thinker and reasoner of our time, said, “The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, and the solution comes to you, and you don’t know how or why.”

And “There comes a time when the mind takes a higher plane of knowledge but can never prove how it got there.”

And “The only real valuable thing is intuition.”

You are conditioned from early in your life to think and to respect logic and logical outcomes. Great! Keep that skill. Even improve it.

But add to your thinking skill the ability to receive input from your intuition. When you do, you will know, not merely understand.

Coaching Point: Do you hear, trust, and act on your intuition?
