(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)

You probably Desire many things — security, health, happiness, success, relationships, contribution, learning, peace, and meaning.

Desire is more than wanting or needing, desire includes passion and draw. To have desires is natural.

Are you clear about your desires? Is it okay for you to have them? Most people only have vague definitions of what they desire and, if they do have clarity, only limited permission to be able to desire them.

The very first step, then, is to have clarity about what you desire. Write them. Speak them. Meditate about them. Simplify the descriptions. Remember that identifying your desires is not the same as setting goals. Desires are discovered; goals are created.

Next, become clear about why you desire something. The why’s are where your feelings live; the stronger the feelings, the clearer the desire.

Finally, the process of determining the what’s and why’s of your desires will surface any prohibitions in your deep mental programming about them such as, “It’s not okay to have desires.” “I’ve been burned by acting on previous desires.” “What’s the use of having desires, I probably won’t get them anyway.” Without the barriers being resolved your true desires will not easily surface. The good news is that it is easy to resolve them.
