(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)
For many people it’s too painful to be unliked. They pay a high price — emotionally, monetarily, with their time, with a chipping away at pieces of their soul — trying to have others like them.
Attempting to be liked causes them to hold back, wear a mask, put up with other than what they really want, and defer the expressions of their authentic life. In short, trying to be liked causes people to be inauthentic.
So, let’s get this straight, ‘In my attempt to get you to like me, I’m going to not be me.’ How crazy is that?
Risk being unliked. Whatever that costs, even if it seems big in the moment, is a tiny price for what will be a huge return — your life. Your real life.
