(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)
Have you ever experienced the Eternal — while your feet were firmly on the ground? That is frequently a part of a meditation/ prayer/spiritual practice, but it is also a part of dreaming. To be able to dream of your evolving future while remaining clearly in the present is an interesting skill. A learn-able one.
Dreams and dreaming are important. All progress follows a dream. Nothing ever is, or ever has been, created without first a dream.
Are some dreams off the mark and produce something other than progress? Of course. The purpose of dreaming is not to be correct all the time. It is to step beyond where you are now and be interested, intrigued, excited, and drawn-toward an outcome which is desirable to you.
Yes, some desires/dreams are to get you away from what is so for you right now, but being away-from has the tricky nature of being directionless, which can result in unpleasant unintended consequences.
Dreams are based on your built-in desire. Humans are wired to have desires. Beware anyone who tells you what you should desire, should dream. And, while you’re at it, leave them free to dream whatever it is they want to dream. Each person’s desire/dreams are uniquely theirs.
