“Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Nothing can bring you peace but the triumph of principles.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Coaching Point: “…the triumph of principles.” There is a lot to think about in those four words.

To know someone’s principles, observe their behavior. They may be able to hide them for a while, but everyone ends up displaying their principles. They can’t not. Principles are that deeply ingrained.

Stress is one lubricant for principle-revealing behavior.

And by the way, this S3MC is not only about revealing ‘bad’ principles. Through our behavior we show all the ones we have. It’s just that the ‘good’ one’s are where the ‘triumph’ is!

What does your behavior show your principles to be? Don’t you enjoy the peace of “the triumph of your principles”?
