(Great questions lead to great answers; weak questions, weak ones.)

“Why are you where you are?”

Coaching Point: This is a compound question. First, where are you? I mean, specifically and clearly, where are you right now? An amazing number of people are so focused on Doing/busy/ action that they don’t notice what’s going on around them or where they really are. Some clarity on this part then leads to the ‘why’ part.

Why are you where you are? Did you choose your path or was it assumed for you? Do you now have ‘too much’ invested in where you are to consider changing? Does where you are make your heart sing?

The value of this Great Question is that once you answer it — once you get clear about your place, relationships, money, career, time allocation, energy, spirit — you will then naturally ask, “Is this where I want to be?”

If your answer is yes, then congratulations, keep going.

If not, where do you want to be?
