(Great questions lead to great answers; weak questions, weak ones.)
“How would I act, if nothing was:
broken and needed fixing,
ill and needed healing,
wrong and needed righting, nor
missing and needed finding?”
Coaching Point: What if, in fact, all was perfect, and it was only that you imagined it wasn’t?
Moral panic is a wonderful phrase. [Wish I’d coined it!] Moral panic is what people do when they focus on broken, ill, wrong, and missing. It gives them ‘juice’ from reacting to all that is ‘wrong.’
And it’s pretty common. That doesn’t make it useful, just common.
What if you took a deep breath and focused your attention and energy on, I don’t know, anything but wrong? What if?
