As someone who’s ability to hear has diminished I’ve become more aware of the importance of accurate hearing. And more aware of what constitutes accurate hearing, or more to the point, inaccurate hearing. There are many factors.
And the greatest of these is fear. We don’t hear what we fear to hear.
