(Distinctions are subtleties of language that, when gotten, cause a shift in a belief, behavior, value or attitude.)

What do you feel like when you enjoy something (or someone or somewhere)? Most would describe enjoyment as a good, desirable feeling. An internal experience. You can pursue countless enjoyable outcomes.

When what you are pursuing is because you need something (or someone or somewhere), that’s a whole different thing. Neediness is, at its core, a belief that there is a ‘missing’; a missing that, if you had it, you would then be whole, fixed, or at least okay.

To get a need met is to fill in a perceived hole. To enjoy is to experience an expression of your life. Getting a need met only gets you back up to zero. Enjoyment is fulfilling and expands you.
