(Great questions lead to great answers; weak questions, weak ones.)

“What do I think I know?”

Coaching Point: Don’t let what you think you know get in the way of discovering what you don’t know.

In my experience only strong, grounded people can look this challenging question in the eye. Others run from it.

Because it challenges their carefully created self-image. (But clarity is always more freeing than fiction.)

Because to look at it may mean they have to change. (But with change comes growth.)

Because they are assuming that which replaces what they think they know will be unpleasant. (But it could be better.)

Don’t let what you think you know get in the way of discovering what you don’t know. You know?
