“It’s worth remembering that for any change to happen in your life, you must be wrong about something.”

“The more something threatens your identity, the more you will avoid it.”

“Uncertainty is the root of all progress and all growth.”

Mark Manson

Coaching Point: Change. Some love it, most resist it.

Wrong: It is a mark of a highly successful person that they have the ability to change once they have new information. Letting go of what is no longer so is a useful skill.

Identification: I know who I am, you say? Not unless you have looked at yourself recently. It’s easy to carry around an old, outdated identity of self.

Uncertainty: Change happens easiest (and most effectively) when you embrace the fact that life is uncertain.

Uncertainty provides the arena for change, an evolving self-identity supports change, and letting go of having been ‘wrong’ speeds change.

How are you at changing?
