(Quotes are capsules of information, reinforcement or enlightenment.)

“You can’t go back and change the beginning,
but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

C.S. Lewis

Coaching Point: This Quote seems to not be true for many people because they are stuck in “This is just the way I am” or “This is the way life is” or some other self-imposed narrative. They have taken ownership of their life to date in a way that causes them to project the future as an extension of what got them to here.

What ‘ending’ (otherwise known as an outcome, result, expectation, next step, etc.) are you staring at which doesn’t please you?

Spending more of your time and energy revisiting the beginning, wishing it had been different, maybe even trying to change it in your mind, has a low expectation of success.

But you can decide to embrace the moment, own what-is-so-right-now, seek new ideas and resources, perhaps get assistance, and begin to create a new and more satisfying ending than the one you have been projecting.

What if you tried?
