“If you can’t make it simple,
you don’t understand it well enough.”
Albert Einstein
Coaching Point: Words even singular, solitary, standalone words have the power to clarify or obscure, magnify or minimize, support or destroy, love or lose.
In that sentence look at and feel the effect of each of the words. If we blow by them like a wind-driven leaf, as many do, we may not notice. Pausing provides a richness.
Not to say you should always read slowly. Or speak slowly. Far from it. Fast or slow each word has influence. What effect do you want to create with your words?
How does that tie to dear Albert’s wisdom? If you understand a thing you can probably speak to it with simple, clear words, words of power, of influence.
How often do you notice the power and effect of the words you speak?
