“Sometimes it is the people
who no one imagines anything of
who do the things
that no one can imagine.”

Said about Alan Turing

Coaching Point: Turing was the creator of the first complete specification of an electronic stored-program all-purpose digital computer. Standing on the shoulders of the work of others he imagined a device others had not seen. That computer in your hand (otherwise known as a cellphone) is the offspring of Turing’s imagination.

Now we may marvel at and celebrate the result of imaginings of people such as Turing, even put them on pedestals for their contributions, but there is a personal truth for each of us in the story –

Nothing has ever been created that was not first only imagined.

What wonderfulness are you imagining?
