(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you easier and quicker.)

Beware the popular notion of “setting an intention.” It has an inherent flaw. It is likely only the ego trying to fill a perceived hole in itself. It believes (hopes) that accomplishing some outcome will somehow make your life better.

Setting an intention is a mechanical action. It may or may not align with your life’s true meaning and purpose. Oh, the ego can be quite the trickster!

Better to ask for and allow an intention to come to you through inspiration, intuition, joy, curiosity, or some other uplifting energy. Come to you versus you making it up. Your real intentions come to assist you in the unfolding of your path, not to “make” outcomes happen.

Living in an unfolding field of ever-appearing intentions and inspirations is delightful.

Coaching Point:
What’s a recent inspiration you’ve had, and how did it shape your intentions and actions?
