Rigor involves commitment, effort, action and being casual, but not to the extent that the goal or task consumes the person or diminishes their quality of life.

Stress occurs from attempting to accomplish something without adequate resources, space or reserves. Stress also results from lack of integrity, balance or responsibility.

Rigor is a choice; stress is a reaction.
