“… anger should not determine action, only the determination to act.”
George Mason
Coaching Point: Wow! How clear! It’s useful to feel what you feel. In fact, it’s useful to feel fully what you feel. Anger is a feeling which, when you are experiencing it, you want to feel it fully; don’t ignore it; don’t deny it; don’t suppress it. But be careful of letting anger determine your actions. Those actions will be reactions and rarely useful. However, the anger you’re feeling can provide a wonderful determination to act, with an appropriate response. Where have you already successfully used the determination from anger to respond rather than the raw energy of anger to react?
