“We could all use a little coaching. When you’re playing the game, it’s hard to think of everything.”
Jim Rohn
Coaching Point: Sure, this could be slipped in as a pitch for having a Coach, but think about the general wisdom in Rohn’s observation.
During the game (of life?) you’re probably pretty focused on right where you are. At least if you’re being successful. People who struggle usually do so because they are living in the past or the future, not the present. But I digress.
Having someone ‘on the sidelines’ or ‘up in the press box’ see your world from a different perspective than you do, and share it with you, will usually assist you in taking more effective actions and getting to your ‘goals’ quicker and easier than if you don’t have their greater perspective and the context it provides.
[It’s why I’ve always had two Coaches assist me. I like to think of it as each one has the job of keeping me up on my road and out of the bar ditches. After 30+ years I may know something about this Coaching stuff, but still, I can’t see me the way they can.]
During the game who helps you see more clearly?
