(Great questions lead to great answers; weak questions, weak ones.)
“How can I afford it?”
Coaching Point: When confronted with a need or desire to spend above a certain limit we can have a scarcity thought: “I can’t afford it” is a common knee-jerk reaction. It’s based in the past. “I can’t” is an automatic limiter, a shutter-downer.
“How can I …?” shifts the circumstance to one of possibility, creativity, wonder, even play.
“How can I …?” elicits fresh thought, allies, and resources.
“How can I …?” is based in the future.
Did you catch it that “How can I afford it?” applies to more than Money? Also to Love, Freedom, Spontaneity, Emotions.
Can you afford to have it all?
