“Am I Only Willing?”


Coaching Point: Only willing? Why is it “only”?

Willingness is a valuable source of life energy. A willing person is a good team member. When you are willing, you won’t drag or drive yourself into what’s next. A willing person goes, well… willingly. No pushback. But…

Willing doesn’t lead, encourage, or champion. Willing energy is rarely creative. It does not initiate. An eagerness is missing.

Notice how often you are only willing versus when you are the spark plug. Each has its place, but check your ratio.

Have you noticed how people who are only willing don’t seem to radiate much energy?
