(Principles are basic truths that, when applied, cause success to come to you more easily and more quickly.)
Have you ever bought a mattress after lying on it for 5 minutes in the store? How did that work out for you? Did you get lucky and find it to be a great mattress for years? Or not?
This S3MC is obviously not about mattress-buying decisions. It is about some decision-making attributes.
What could drive someone to choose where to spend a third of their life with so little investigation? Embarrassed lying down in public? Grab the first one they tried? Want to look decisive? A need for approval? A need to be right?
There can be many factors involved in decision-making. Good decision-makers are aware of them. They know themselves and their proclivities.
Picking a mattress is a metaphor that may show you how you make (or don’t make) decisions. Remember that old bit of wisdom – How you do anything is how you do everything.
