(Great questions lead to great answers; weak questions, weak ones.)

“Why would I choose to experience anger?”

Coaching Point: Many people don’t see that their emotions come from their choices.

“You make me happy.” “You make me angry.” These are common sentences you hear people say. You might even say them yourself. They aren’t true.

All emotions are internal events. Many triggered by external situations. But the emotion experienced is internal. It comes from you to you.

The source of the reactive emotion is the past. Stored experiences with their emotional content. A stored memory can trigger an emotional reaction that feels out of your control.

The great news is we can now catch these reactions and pause them. This lets us see where in our past we can release the energy that’s causing the reaction. Any reaction that we decide is no longer useful.

You don’t have to be a victim of an automatic anger response.

What would it be like if you were free from reacting with anger?
