(Great questions lead to great answers; weak questions, weak ones.)
“What do I want? Why do I want it?”
Coaching Point: These two questions, asked together, feed into each other. Each compounds the effect of the other. Alone, they are good questions. Together, they are better.
“What do I want?” is more common. Understandable since we most often think our way to our futures. It is useful to quantify the metrics of progress. Measurable outcomes, amounts, weights, events, and times are usually necessary. These metrics are the Head Stuff. Products of thinking about your future.
The other question, “Why do I want it?” is powerful to the same extent but used less often. Why evokes feelings. Why is the Heart Stuff. When you ask Why for each What you visit, you’ll gain more insight into them.
Asking both questions about the pieces of your emerging future helps you get clarity. And supports ‘magic’ showing up along the way!
You have experienced it and know what is meant by magic, don’t you?
