(Great questions lead to great answers; weak questions, weak ones.)
“What is my biggest (and secret) self-doubt?”
Coaching Point: (shhh…it’s a secret so don’t even say it out loud) Why the secrecy? It is a lot easier to see our deepest stuff if we know no one else will see it.
Your unconscious self-doubt is like an unexploded sea mine waiting for a ship to touch it. By avoiding brushing up against it, you let it control you, limiting your freedom. Your self-doubt drains your energy.
Since self-doubt is painful, we tend to avoid it. When you see and acknowledge your biggest self-doubt, it starts to soften. It cannot stand in the light. Why? Because it is not who you are. It is only a story.
Being willing to see it and name it, that is real. That is the realm of people who run their lives instead of allowing some story to control them.
What happens after you acknowledge your doubt? You start to see ways to shrink it. Baby steps at first. Do whatever guides you. You do not have to attack it. Let it evaporate over time.
Some people have seen their self-doubt change into something that can inspire and support others! All by first being willing to look it in the eye.
